This sounds like a sorry excuse for not winning in the playoffs year after
year after year........

If you look at the rosters of North Dakota, Colorado College, and even
Wisconsin, you'll see a lot of Minnesota kids who decided that having a
chance at winning a championship was more important than being a part of an
obsolete, outdated "tradition".  And please don't give me that tired old
line of "well, the Gophers didn't want those other players anyway!!!".  The
Gophers don't get all of the best Minnesota players anymore.  That's the
hard, undeniable truth.  Mabye Lucia will do a better job of recruiting the
right Minnesotans than Woog did, but I still think he's going to have to go
out of state to win a National Championship.  For most fans, that's what
it's all about.
