Hi,

it is not always a good idea to get funding.

On the other hand:

In order to enjoy Pound's writings, one needs some kind of intelligence and
intuition, as well as a warm heart; but to finish a Ph.D. thesis, or to
finish a report to the organization who funds one's research, he/she needs
only a machine gun.
