Hi everyone,
Digital Globe is launching an exciting new satellite this Fall, the
WorldView-2. It promises to provide quite a bit more for thematic
remote sensing than has ever been available before.
Specifically:
0.5 meter panchromatic
1.8 meter multispectral
Of that multispectral, it has EIGHT (yes you read that right, 8) bands
including the traditional red, blue, green, and near-IR (770-895nm) plus
red edge (705-745nm), yellow (585-625nm), coastal (which is blue edge
400-450nm), and a mid-IR band (860-1040nm).
Spatial accuracy expected to be 6.5m uncorrected, 2.0m with GCP
registration, and the satellite will revisit any spot on the Earth every
3.7 days.
DG is hosting a webinar to discuss the new product, for that reason I
have reserved conference room 105 from 1-2PM in the Cross Office
Building in Augusta. I will have a PC and projector so we can do it as
a group.
Otherwise if you want to see this on your own check out
