Good afternoon all,

Cumberland and York County communities should be receiving paper versions on digital media (data disc) new preliminary flood insurance rate maps. They were officially released on 11/5/2013 and mailed as of that date. However they are also available for download from the FEMA Mapping Web Site at this location http://hazards.fema.gov/femaportal/prelimdownload/searchResult.action . The index maps are at the bottom of the list of PDF files and at the very bottom you can download a copy of the shape files for use in your GIS systems.

If you have any questions or find it difficult to use the web site you can contact Joe Young (287-8051) or Janet Parker (287-9981) at the Maine flood plain office.
