Updates to MEGIS Data Catalog - http://www.maine.gov/megis/catalog/

Vernal Pools (VPCenterPts) and Significant Vernal Pool Buffers (SVPBuffers) have been Updated. VPCenterPts represents Candidate Significant Vernal Pools (SVPs). SVPBuffers depicts 250-foot habitat zones surrounding the perimeters of Significant Vernal Pools or Potentially Significant Vernal Pools. Please refer to the metadata for additional information.

NOTE: MEGIS is planning on replacing several data sets included in the Facilities and Structures sections of the Data Catalog - Colleges and Universities, Correctional facilities, Fire stations, Hospitals, Major State Office Buildings, Police stations, Rescue/EMS and Schools and Libraries data will all be replace with new and updated facilities data - some with new names. These changes are scheduled to take place on August 24, 2012. The most noticeable change will be replacing the datasets for colleges and SCHLIB with two separate datasets one for schools and one for libraries - Schools will contain all schools public and private along with colleges and tech schools and Libraries will contain public, private and special use libraries.
