MEGUG Drone Mini-Conference
Save the Date and Call for Papers

Date: May 11, 2022 12-4 PM (time tentative) with Mappy Hour to follow

Location: Midcoast Regional Redevelopment Authority/Brunswick Landing, Brunswick, ME

MEGUG is the state's professional network organization for GIS users, and for the first time in two years, we are excited to put on a conference to get people back together again. Given a widely attended Lunch and Learn in January, we have decided to organize this conference about the usage of drones in geospatial activities. The festivities will involve tours of the aviation facilities at UMA's Brunswick Center (which houses their aviation and UAS programs) and will be followed by "mappy hour" at Flight Deck Brewing Company, a chance to network with geospatial professionals in a more social setting.

We seek presenters for the conference who can talk about their drone work in the geospatial arena. These projects can be at any stage of development. We are flexible with the length of time for a presentation, but we would like to target 15-30 minutes. Longer or shorter are fine. We will ask you for a title, 2-3 sentence gist of your presentation, the anticipated length, and any needs regarding your presentation. If you are interested in presenting, we would love to hear from you as soon as possible!

Please email our Program Committee Chair (Dr. Matt Dube) at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> with any questions you may have about this opportunity.

To submit a proposal, please visit the following Google Form: https://forms.gle/6sPDNFxKSTEHrJgA6. Please help us in this endeavor by submitting your proposals by Wednesday, April 20 @ 5 PM EDT.

Best wishes,

Maine GIS Users Group<https://megug.org/>
