Geographic Information System Technician
The City of Bangor is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill a full time GIS Technician position in the Sewer Division.  The successful applicant will provide project management and technical oversight in the areas of geographic information system program activities.  Some duties include map production, spatial databases and thematic data utilizing GIS hardware and software.  A complete job description is available upon request.
Requirements include: bachelor's degree in Geography, Information Science or similar GIS related program as well as 2 years experience.  An equivalent combination of education and experience is also acceptable.  Thorough knowledge of ArcGIS Desktop software, specifically in the areas of feature editing, CAD integration, and network management.  Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills are necessary.  Familiarity with sewer infrastructure features and operating.  Ability to read plans and technical drawings.  The ability to legally operate a motor vehicle is also required.
Pay range is $16.78-$22.55 per hour and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
