Blue Marble Geographics is looking for a summer GIS Intern to assist with
creating data for an R&D project.

This project will interpret satellite imagery and aerial imagery to build
examples for data processing and machine learning tools. The intern will
learn to gather relevant geospatial data and use vector and raster tools to
create new ground truth data that will help teach the AI to find features
in the landscape. The outcome will be data generation and correction for
Blue Marble's internal use in R&D production.



Required skills:

· Strong computer proficiency

· Good communication skills



Desired:

· Experience with GIS or Remote Sensing

· Experience with Photo editing or raster graphics tools such as Adobe
Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator

· Studying Geography/ Environmental Science or a related field

The position is remote, though we may require some office visits with
advance notice. You will report to the CTO and work closely with the
Product Management and Development Team. The timeline is an estimated eight
weeks of full-time work. The workday is 8 am to 5 pm with an hour for lunch
at noon. No other benefits are included.
