Good Afternoon All,
Alina Taus, of the Greater Augusta Utility District announced her resignation from the Board earlier this year and we thank her for her service, consequently the GeoLibrary is seeking candidates to represent utility interests on the Board.
The Maine GeoLibrary was set up by legislature in the early 2000's to coordinate data acquisition, develop standards for GIS data and promote the use of GIS. The Legislation can be found here: http://legislature.maine.gov/legis/statutes/5/title5sec2001.html
The Board usually meets once per month from 10 AM to NOON on the third Wednesday of each month. A schedule can be found on the Board Website located here: http://www.maine.gov/geolib/meetings/agenda.html You will also find some of the past meeting agendas posted here also.

The Board is seeking qualified candidates to fill this important position on the Board. Members are expected to represent the interests of the constituencies they represent and guide the state's investment in and development of GIS data serving broad constituencies.
