Learn to bring GPS data into Google Earth, and just as easily, put features
from Google Earth into your GPS! Learn to collect GPS data in the field,
then use it to create your own custom map using Google Earth. Also, discover
how to take any location from Google Earth and send it to your
GPS receiver and navigate to that point in the field.

Learn how to map trails using handheld GPS units! The workshop begins with a
discussion of best practices for mapping trails with GPS. Next, the course
moves out to provide participants with hands-on opportunity
to practice mapping trails. Finally we finish up mapping newly collected
trails and features using Google Earth or free GIS software.
