I was researching information for an upcoming presentation at the MEMA conference and found this mapping app that some of you might be interested in.

The tool was created by the Housing Recovery Support Function (RSF), led by HUD, and Community Planning and Capacity Building RSF, led by FEMA, in collaboration with the American Red Cross, the Local Initiatives Support Corporation, the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development, the New York City Housing Recovery Operation's office, FEMA Geographic Information System, and Voluntary Agencies Liaisons. The resource mapping tool has broad utility and can be used to map housing impact, tract visibility of recovery activities, generate reports, prepare recovery analyses, support grant applications, assist in preparedness and planning efforts, and serve as a template response tool for the next catastrophic event. Data will be updated periodically and the geography may be expanded in the future based on feedback from stakeholders and others.
