They were both making stuff up all night. Corey-Joe Ficek became C-J, somehow Mike Weaver switched teams from MSU to UNH, and Jason Krog was described as "one of the overwhelming favorites to win the Hobey Baker (that's an Enlish major issue: how can you have more than one overwhelming favorite?). They were also mangling sayings all night: "Make hay while you can" - isn't that "make hay while the sun shines?" And if Dave Ryan used the phrase "he's trying to create" one more time, I was going to climb into my TV and beat him senseless. Imagine that on the radio: "Allen passes up to Gionta, who tries to create. He's still trying to create. He's behind the net creating." Can anyone picture what that might look like?

And while we're on the subject, what was with the camera angles? The overhead cam was overused, particularly since it makes the game look like a Disney production - "Antz on Ice" - and the producers jumped from camera to camera so much that I thought I was watching an episode of Homicide.

Of course, all that aside, it was nice to be able to watch both games live all the way over here on the East coast. Particularly since they were both excellent hockey games. So perhaps I shouldn't complain quite so much.
