Quiz XXIII:   What Happened First?


Every so often, we'll offer a history quiz.  No, it is not exactly the same
as the history quizzes through which you suffered in high school. You know,
the tests in which you were required to know specific dates, such as the
bombing of Pearl Harbor on July 4, 1776.    This quiz requires you to
determine which of the two listed events occurred first.

We'll provide an example:
What happened first

-Piazzi discovers the first asteroid, Ceres

-Queen Victoria's coronation.


The answer is Piazzi discovers the first asteroid, Ceres (1801)

Queen Victoria's coronation occurred in 1837
