So Christian ritual is rooted in pagan mythology and Confucianism is rooted
in Chinese poetic and metaphysical tradition. What is particularly bad or
undemocratic in this? Once again I quote Pound from "Kulchur" , "That one's
roots are not a disease but parts of a vital orgainism is worth feeling",
but the sentence before this is "That a man find the car of Persephone in a
German burrow is already a mental property." It is probably better for one
in some cases to drop an a priori argument based or a faulty premise
rather than keep flaying such a dead horse until there's nothing left but
the bones, and everyone else is already twenty miles down the road on
Shank's Mare anyway.
