*Welcome Back and Fall Term Info*

The fall term starts today, September 4th. Please double check your class
schedules and meeting dates. The add-drop period continues through the
first two weeks of classes. Please pay special attention to all of the
campus’ add-drop dates and refund policies because they may differ. UMA’s

*Student Association News – Eats, Treats and Free Coffee!*

The URock Student Association welcomes you back this fall with ice cream
and fresh fruit, emphasizing their new 2012-2013 theme of healthy foods.
The URock SA is also sponsoring free coffee through Jensen’s Pharmacy for
students and faculty. Stop at the URock front office to get your coffee
card. Fill up your OWN coffee mug for free, or use a Jensen’s cup for 50
cents. Present your coffee card to Jenesn’s front counter every time. There
is a limit of 2 cups of coffee per day.

The URock SA meeting will be held *Monday, September 10 at 4:00PM.* The
meeting is open and interested students are welcome to attend and provide
feedback to the board.

*URock Welcomes UMS Chancellor and 7 Campus Presidents September 12*

On Wednesday, September 12 from 9AM – 2PM, URock will host a meeting of the
University’s Chancellor James Page as well as the 7 campus presidents of
the University of Maine System. They will be here for a meeting while they
experience life at an off-campus center. Thanks for making them feel
welcome.

*Summer URock Student Art Exhibit Continues at Jensen’s*

Enjoy the watercolor paintings by URock students in Seth Lester’s summer
art class now on display at Jensen’s Pharmacy, 1st floor of the Breakwater

*Fall Proctored Test Times*

This fall the URock proctored test times will be Tuesday at 8:00AM or
Fridays at 4:00PM. You must call the URock office to schedule your test so
that we have it ready for you. In some cases you will also need an email
permission from your faculty member so please get that ahead of time. Also,
remember that a photo ID is required in order for you to take a test.

*Textbooks Delivered to URock? They are Here!*

If you order your textbooks through UMA’s
bookstore<http://www.umabookstore.com/>and asked for them to be
delivered to URock, they are here! Please pick
them up.

*Farnsworth Passes!*

The URock SA buys two passes to the Farnsworth Museum each year. Passes may
be checked out at the URock front desk for 24 hours by URock students.

*Claim Your Spring 2012 Student Work!*

Spring 2012 course papers and projects are available for pick up in the
front office. Please claim your work! We will discard all unclaimed work at
the end of September.

We have new URock sweatshirts and sweatpants offered through the UMA
bookstore. Check out the bright, new colors in the front office. In
addition, KDK Apparel Printing and Embroidery (owned by a former URock
student) has created a new catalog of URock clothing and
