*Add-Drop Deadline for UMA Classes*

Monday, January 27 is the last day to drop a UMA class and have it
disappear from your transcript.

*URock Sponsors Two Teams To US National Toboggan Championships*

URock will enter two teams in the US National Toboggan
Championships<http://winter.camdensnowbowl.com/24th-annual-us-national-toboggan-championships>at
the Camden Snowbowl on the weekend of February 8 and 9. Races will
start
on Saturday and URock will have a cheering tent with hot coffee, donuts and
other treats. Dress warm and come out and hail the teams! Shuttle buses
will run from downtown Camden for just $2 round trip so avoid parking
hassles.

*An Introduction to the Knox County FDA for Education -  Wed, January 29
from 3:00 – 4:00PM *

Learn about the Family Development Account, a matched savings program that
allows you to save money for college. For every $1 you save up to $1,000,
the program matches it with $4 for school costs. No sign-up for the
presentation required. This will be held in room #405. For more

*Individual Career and Money Consulting*

On Wednesdays, January 22 and February 5 from 11AM to 1PM, Linda Buckmaster
of WWC will meet individually with students to answer money questions and
concerns. Get help with deciding on a career that meets interests and
financial needs; writing a resume and cover letter; job search techniques;
managing money while on financial aid; and, how to apply for a Family
Development Account. Sign up at the URock front desk.

*MBTI Workshop March 6 – What’s Your Type?*

URock will host a Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) workshop on Thursday,
March 6 from 1:00 – 4:00PM. The MBTI is a questionnaire to measure
psychological preferences in how people perceive the world and make
decisions. Workshop participants must sign up at the URock front desk.
Participants will pick up the questionnaire early in the week of February
10 and return it after a few days. Susan Barnard of the Rockland Career
Center will lead the workshop and help participants discover career and
occupations that are most suitable to their personality types. You can also
see what famous personalities share your “type”. Space is limited. Sign up
early!

*UMA’s General Scholarship Application is Available*

UMA has an efficient way to apply for a large number of scholarships
through one application

Application deadline is March 21.

*Proctored Test Times for the Spring Term*

URock will hold proctored test times on Tuesdays from 8 – 11AM and on
Fridays from 4 – 7PM. You must call ahead to schedule your test and
remember to bring your photo ID!

It has been an active season so far.  URock posts messages instantly on its
webpage about any delays or course cancellations. You will also find
information on TV channels 6, 8 and 13 or on the URock office message
machine.

File or renew your *Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
<http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/>*for the next cycle in 2014-2015 as soon as
possible in order to qualify for the most financial aid.
