This week’s lecture at the Maine Grind in Ellsworth – talk with Curt
Madison, Director of Distance Education for the University of Maine System,
about the growth of online education in Maine. Will everything be online
soon? What technologies work for students. What’s different? What’s the
same? What could be better?

This is your chance to talk about what you like and don’t like about online
courses and how we might be able to shape those courses.

*Wednesday, May 4, 7PM @ the Maine Grind *

*See a Man Kill a Bear with a Spear- Bringing the University to You *

Curt Madison, Director of Distance Education, University of Maine System

Maine is a rural place and so is Alaska. Madison's 40 years there gave him
an appreciation for challenges, especially in a context of danger. Some of
the challenges are metaphors and some are physical barriers; all of them can
produce the sweet smell of success.
