Janet Blood, Associate Dean of Library Services at Eastern Maine Community
College, will here on *Friday, October 4th, 12:00 - 1:00 pm in room 7*. I
urge ALL EMCC STUDENTS to attend and learn about the services and materials
available to you from EMCC's Library, because you *WILL* be using the
Library's resources for coursework. Please feel free to bring a brown bag
lunch with you!
Also mark your calendars for *Friday, October 18th, from 12:00 - 1:00 pm *in
room 8 for a research skills for college students workshop. Ben Treat,
Director of the Nottage Library on UMA's Bangor Campus; and Shiva Darbandi,
Off-campus Library Services Coordinator, will share *important research
skills* such as finding and using on-line resources; plagiarism and how to
avoid it; and basics of citing sources. Bring a brown bag lunch and get
the information you need to write research papers successfully!
