Are you interested in teaching? You can take the course work to become
certified to teach in early childhood, elementary, special and secondary
education…. and you can do it locally.

Hancock County Higher Education Center will offer a teacher certification
information session:

Thursday, April 26, from 4:00-6:00 pm.

The information session will offer opportunities for current and
prospective students to learn more about pathways to teacher certification
offered the University of Maine at Augusta (UMA).

UMA offers four teacher preparation pathways:

    Early childhood education

    Elementary education

    Special education

    Secondary education

Cynthia Dean, Assistant Professor of Education at UMA and Coordinator of
Teacher Certification, will present information about courses, degrees,
licensure exams, portfolio, and student teaching obligations for each
pathway.

We hope to see you there!
