*For all those who apply for E-Rate on their own (meaning filing for E-Rate
for products and services other than those that Networkmaine provides its
members):*

*Administrative Window Opens: Tuesday, October 25, 2022Administrative
Window Closes: shortly before the FY2023 application filing window opens in
early 2023*

During the Administrative Window, in addition to updating the student
counts in your EPC profile (see the September 23 email on this subject),
please verify that the person listed as the entity's Account Administrator
is an active user and still an employee of your organization. If not, this
is an opportunity to establish a new Account Administrator.

As a security measure, in December 2022 BEARs will be moved into EPC. Once
this happens, it is highly likely that *only the Account Administrator will
be able to assign permissions* to your organization's users to create and
certify BEARs. While it is possible that existing users with both EPC &
BEAR credentials will be assigned the proper permissions by the system,
this is a fine time to make sure that your organization has an Account
Administrator who will be able to log in and assign permissions once the
move is implemented.

*To determine the current Account Administrator:* any EPC user can log in,
go to the EPC Landing Page, click on the link for your organization, and
see who is listed as the Account Administrator

*If you need to change the Account Administrator to another current user*
...

... and the current Account Administrator can still log in, use the
attached guide for "Changing the Account Administrator"

... but the current Account Administrator cannot log in, contact USAC at
1-888-203-8100 to request the change and follow the instructions they
provide to you

*If you need to change the Account Administrator to someone who is not a
current EPC user ...*

... you will also need to contact USAC at 1-888-203-8100 so they can create
a new user who then must accept terms and conditions and set up
multi-factor authentication before they can be assigned as an Account
Administrator
