last night, a couple Maine alumni squared off against
one another.
Edward Purcell played in his first game for the
kings... his team won, but the only thing on the score
sheet is that he had 3 attempted shots blocked and he
missed one hit.... no plus minus and no scoring.
Dustin Penner on the other hand lost, but scored a
goal and an assist.
so Teddy made at least $10,000 last night. a little
bit more than most of us on this board... including
those of us who lost respect for him because he
apparently "lost focus" at the end of last season.
I still do not believe that he lost focus, but even if
he did, for the chance to make $10,000 for one game,
with the opportunity to make many more hundreds of
thousands more... how can you blame him. (Penner made
something like $50,000 last night.)
