With my interest in physics and hockey, I was fascinated to read the
following account which has less to do with college hockey than steaks,
BBQs and cold Maine winters.  It is entertaining and it does have several
very interesting references, including Alain Hache's classic book "*The
Physics of Hockey*" (on Amazon at http://tinyurl.com/bebgoep):
