Oliver was first line varsity for NYA last season as a 7th grader and led
the team in scoring. We are second-tier prep (lost to the team that lost
to Tim's KUA squad for the title) but that still isn't challenge enough for
Oliver who is going to Shattuck St Mary's this year. They have a fairly
decent track record of developing talent. By the time he gets to Maine it
isn't out of the realm of possibility that we are looking at the next
Jonathan Toews. Both his parents went to Maine (dad was on the hockey
team) and he very much wants the same experience they had and they very
much want him to go to Maine. He did an interview when he committed where
he was already talking smack about BU so he definitely has the right
attitude! :)

On another note, the schedule is taking shape. It isn't official yet, but
we know the away games, most conference games and there are now only four
games left. These are the games we know about:
10/4/14 New Brunswick (exhibition)
10/10/14 @Alaska-Anchorage^&
10/11/14 v Alaska^&
10/17/14 Union&
10/18/14 Union&
10/24/14 Alaska-Anchorage&
10/25/14 Alaska-Anchorage&
11/07/14 @Vermont*
11/08/14 @Vermont*
11/21/14 @Boston University*
11/22/14 @Boston College*
12/06/14 @Lowell*
12/12/14 UHN (Portland)&
12/13/14 UHN (Manchester)&
01/09/15 @Massachusetts&
01/10/15 @Massachusetts&
01/23/15 New Hampshire*
01/24/15 @New Hampshire*
02/01/15 @Conn*
02/13/15 @Merrimack*
02/14/15 @Merrimack*
02/27/15 @Providence*
02/27/15 @Providence*

We also can anticipate these:
10/31/14 Massachusetts*
11/01/14 Massachusetts*
01/30/15 Conn*
02/06/15 Notre Dame*
02/07/15 Notre Dame*
02/20/15 Northeastern*
02/21/15 Northeastern*
^ - exempt
& - non-conference
* - Hockey East

The conference games at home vs BU, BC and Lowell are unknown and there are
still four non-conference games left to schedule. Since they aren't on the
road trip application it is assumed they will be home games.

Home games vs: UAA (first time since 1990), Union (defending national
champion), Notre Dame (first time since 1991) and the usual UHN, BC and BU.
The best bet for a B1G opponent is Jan 2-3 vs Penn State. Most likely
we'll see Vermont (non-conference) and either an AHA team or Colgate. They
have been a rumored possibility because they will open a new arena in
October 2015 and Maine would be a good marquee opponent for their first
home series.
