One of the stars for tonight's game should go to the UMaine student section, which found ways to keep the crowd in the game, despite the fact that (1) it was a pre-holiday game, and most of the students had left the campus; (2) the pep band was not at the game; and (3) for about two-thirds of the game, the team's play was uninspiring.

By the way, Maine won, 3-2, on a power play goal by Colin Shields in OT.
