Maine beat Merrimack, 3-1.  Maine scored all three goals in the first
period--goals 2 and 3 with less than a minute to go in the period--and then relied on
Jimmy Howard to make spectacular saves and keep the Black Bears in the lead.

Merrimack's Jim Healy was in goal for the second and third periods, and he
was equally spectacular, according to WZON's Dan Hannigan.
