A few thoughts about the three items you posted yesterday:

1.  First sounds like a DHCP choice.  We're using NetworkMaine to do DHCP.
One advantage of that is that when it does DHCP, it looks at the MAC
address, and if the MAC address is in the address table, it gives it the
matching IP address.  I'm not sure if the JoeBox is the tool for the job
there.

2.  I know that smarthost.msln.net has a list of devices that are allowed to
send mail within each network.  The behavior you are describing sounds as
though it is working as designed.  If you change the setting in the Options
to Disable outgoing SMTP connections, the IP addresses for outgoing mail
MUST be in that list.

3.  Is this client based mail or web based mail?  I'd try that out.  Sounds
like a software issue to me instead of a firewall issue.
