I found this in the USAToday. The info itself isn't too interesting,
but the fact that the USAToday even mentioned it is encouraging. This
was in the "Across the USA in Sports" section. The other states* had
lists of 300 games (bowling), but Vermont had hockey news. Go figure.
 
   Senior defenseman Stephane Venne and sophomore forward Mike Doers
   did not return to the University of Vermont for the coming ice
   hockey season. Venne, who had 19 goals and 26 assists in three
   seasons, will attend the Quebec Nordiques' training camp. Doers,
   who had two goals and 11 assists, dropped out because of a family
   illness.
 
 
*except North Dakota, which had high school hockey news. Why don't people
bowl in ND or VT???  (^;
