The last time this thread appeared, I checked out the book, ordered it, and finished it over the weekend. I'm sorry - just couldn't wait for summer! I don't want to go too far over the top because then it just sounds looney or evangelical, but I will say that this book has me more excited than any other educational change initiative in my 35 year career, and I suspect that most who subscribe to this or the integrator's lists will fully agree.
The challenge will be how. Isn't this going to be fun?

Subject: Summer Book Group

Greetings everyone,

I hope you are ready for a long weekend!

I'm excited about getting the summer book group going! Based on suggestions from a couple of you, the first ever ACTEM Integrators book group will be Inevitable: Mass Customized Learning.

Here is the website that accompanies the book, http://www.masscustomizedlearning.com/default.htm

The book can be found at Amazon, http://www.amazon.com/Inevitable-customized-learning-Chuck-Schwahn/dp/1453748628/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1306518239&sr=8-1 for $17.95

or

the Kindle version http://www.amazon.com/Inevitable-Mass-Customized-Learning-ebook/dp/B004GUSG0Q/ref=tmm_kin_title_0?ie=UTF8&m=AG56TWVU5XWC2&qid=1306518239&sr=8-1 for $8.99

Next week I will put together a timeline (it will be after ISTE) and the medium for conversations.
