Not to beat a dead horse but college hockey rankings have no importance
to college hockey other than for "fun".  The tournament teams are
determined strictly by a formula (PWR), only the way the brackets are
constructed is up for judgement.
 
FWIW, my personal preference would be a 12-team poll.
