The notion of "exclusive" is farcical, and I'm sure it won't be upheld.  Could
you imagine the NCAA granting exclusive privilages to the "NCAA News" and not
allowing Sports Illustrated or the New York Times in to cover an event?
 
Exclusives are granted in the case of television ... for example, CBS buys the
rights to broadcast all of the games on television.  But that doesn't preclude
other TV organizations the right to cover the event ... they are merely
restricted in what they show highlight-wise.
 
Right now, the online media more closely resembles the print model than the TV
model, no?
