Actually, several ex-collegians did quite well in the 1992-93 AHL
(minor league) season. Former Wisconsin Badger Chris Tancill was a 1st
team all-star at right wing. Former Brown (?) winger Steven Rice was
a 2nd team choice. LSSU almunus Darren Madeley was 2nd team all-star
goalie as well as runner up for the rookie of the year and goalie of
the year awards... despite playing for the AHL's worst team and fourth
worst defense.
