Here are some details for the Clarkson-Dartmouth and SLU-Harvard games.

CLARKSON 5, Dartmouth 0
Clarkson came out a played a well poised 60 minutes of hockey.
After their losses to Brown and Yale, I didn't think that the team would
take Dartmouth very lightly. Clarkson controlled almost all of the play
during the game. Dartmouth only had a handfull of scoring opportunities,
most of these being during pp's. Scott Thomas scored first on a hard slap-
shot at 17:03 of the first period from Belanger and Dubinsky. Four other
players scored in the second period. Torrey from Belanger and Tretowicz
@ 5:14. A minute later Mark Green wound up in the Dartmouth goal with
the goalie Bracco and another Dartmouth player. On his way out, Bracco
jammed his knee into Green's mid-section. Bracco was given a 2 min.
roughing by ref. Houmiel. Bracco was quite pissed about his apparrent
stupidity. Justice was served when Trombley fed a wide open Green during
the ensuing pp, which Green put passed Bracco @ 7:03. Clarkson would score
twice more: Denicourt @ 13:33 and Casselman @ 15:01. Bracco would come up
with a several good saves for the rest of the game, robbing Belanger twice
on what would have been pretty goals. Bracco had 45 saves while Rogles
had a few good saves out of 22 to preserve his shutout. Clarkson played a
lot of freshmen in the third period. So the main players should be well
rested for tonight's game against Harvard. This should prove to be an
advantage.

SLU 5, Harvard 4
SLU goalie Kuntar kept his team in the game in the first two periods
by making many big saves, especially four at the end of the second period.
SLU scored the first goal of the game, Lacroix @ 5:53 of the first period.
This was a pp goal. The two teams traded goals throughout the period.
Ciavaglia @ 14:56 (pp). Kuntar protested this goal vehemently and received
a 10 min misconduct penalty. He was replaced by freshman Spagnoletti.
M. Lappin scored next @ 15:57 (pp). Donato ended the period by tieing the
game @ 19:25 (pp). Harvard scored the lone goal of the second period to
go up 3-2. While short-handed, Vukonich drilled a slap-shot through Kuntar
@ 11:41. SLU came hard and fast in the third period, taking advantage of a
quickly tiring Harvard squad. SLU went ahead 4-3 with two quick goals:
Meany @ 4:10 and Pritchard @ 4:53. Almost four minutes later Ciavaglia tied
it up on the pp (8:45). Pritchard got his second and the game winning goal
on the pp @ 9:27. SLU's forwards did a good job of fore-checking and kept
a close rein on the Harvard forwards. Harvard ended up with 38 shots while
SLU had 40. A tired and slightly banged-up Harvard team might have trouble
in the small Walker Arena tonight against a Clarkson team that had an easier
game.

Next weekend Clarkson and SLU travel to Boston to play BU and BC. These will
be very important games for the ECAC teams in trying to get an NCAA bid.
Last year in the North Country Clarkson beat BU and tied BC while SLU lost
both. SLU is 3-3 in non-league games this year, beating NE and Lowell at home
while losing to Providence and UNH also at home. They really do need a win or
two. Clarkson is 4-1 in non-league Div. I games, losing only to Maine.
However, they are 4-4 on the road while 6-0-1 at home. It will be a very
tough weekend.
