The "New York Times" reported today that Daniel Laperriere from St.
Lawrence has signed a contract with the St. Louis Blues.  LaPerriere
was ECAC player of the year and a Hobey Baker finalist.
 
Following up Carol's posting on the NHL meetings, it was reported that
the decision on tightening the rules on fighting would be put off for
two months.
