From the February 27, 1992 edition of Let's Play Hockey newspaper:

NCAA HOCKEY SELECTION SHOW EXCLUSIVELY ON MSC (Midwest Sports Channel)

Midwest Sports Channel will produce the NCAA Hockey Selection program live
from their downtown Minneapolis studio on Sunday March 22, from 8:00 to 9:00
p.m. (CST) The program will take a look at college hockey standings from
throughout the leagues and determine the final eight teams to compete in the
NCAA tournament to be held in Albany, New York.

The show will be hosted by Doug McLeod, MSC's color announcer for Gopher
Hockey; and Doug Johnson, publisher of the Let's Play Hockey publication. Both
McLeod and Johnson also host MSC's weekly Let's Play Hockey show (TV) which
takes an in-depth look at hockey from every angle.

Those schools wishing to view the show via satellite can secure MSC's signal
on Satellite Westar V, Transponder 20 or through their local cable system
 where MSC is available.

"We are excited about this opportunity," stated Kevin Cattoor, vice president
and general manager of Midwest Sports Channel. "The addition of this to our
other hockey programming really establishes MSC as the channel to turn to for
the most comprehensive coverage of hockey on every level."

MSC is the home of twenty exclusive University of Minnesota hockey games, ten
St Cloud State hockey games, WCHA match-ups and the NHL Stanley Cup playoffs
and finals. MSC is viewed by cable subscribers throughout the upper Midwest.

MSC usually picks up a feed from SportsChannel America and so will probably be
available to those who can get SCA. I'll either be at Erik and Paula's house to
watch the show or at the local watering hole that DOES get MSC. Approximately
2/3 to 3/4 of the Twin Cities Metro Area are not able to receive MSC due to a
dispute with the local cable companies. :-(
