The annual Gopher Awards banquet was held last night at the Minneapolis
 Athletic club and there wwere over 350 fans, family and players in attendance.
 As usual the dinner was great and the program at times very amusing and
 occasionally sad. The senior good-byes were very hard as there were seven this
 year and each will be missed for their individual efforts and collectively as
 a group.

 Mike Crupi Trophy for Most Determined Player:     Ken Gernander (senior)
 Frand Pond Trophy for Rookie of the Year:         Craig Johnson (freshman) AND
                                                   Chris McAlpine (freshman)
 John Mayasich Trophy for Oustanding Student Athlete: Jason Miller (senior)
 Elwin Rommes Trophy for Ability-Sportsmanship:     Ben Hankinson (senior) AND
                                                    Grant Bischoff (senior)
 Next Year's Captain will be Larry Olimb.
