Well, our resident cynic has given his view, but I disagree.  The
players were not accused of having any part in the riot (which resulted
in arrests of others on some fairly serious charges).  What they  did
was not take steps to avoid any  compromising situations.  The penalty
was immediate (always desirable, varsity athletes or not) and enough to
get the attention of the players involved and all their teammates.  Dick
Umile (spelling?) has said clearly "I set behavioral standards and I
expect rigorous adherence.  If the team is hurt, it is on your
shoulders."  Good for Dick; good for New Hampshire in having such a
coach.  If something like this happens before the Boston College weekend
and there are NO suspensions, point the finger then.
