It seems to me, gentlemen and ladies, any attempt to break the code of
Pound is a gigantic effort. We know the difficulties inherent in "The
Cantos" alone. To further mix and analyze the elements of his complex
life, that is, the family history, the "wild west" days in Idaho, the
gracious days in Wyncote, the halcyon days in London and Paris, and the
political and final days in Italy, is a tremendous intellectual effort.
In my humble opinion, any attempt to decant, and publish a work on this
philosophical contradiction contains ample reward. Pound scholarship, as
long as it's objective, whets our need for more knowledge in the face of
history's ignorance on this subject. Tom NJ
