It seems to me, gentlemen and ladies, any attempt to break the code of Pound is a gigantic effort. We know the difficulties inherent in "The Cantos" alone. To further mix and analyze the elements of his complex life, that is, the family history, the "wild west" days in Idaho, the gracious days in Wyncote, the halcyon days in London and Paris, and the political and final days in Italy, is a tremendous intellectual effort. In my humble opinion, any attempt to decant, and publish a work on this philosophical contradiction contains ample reward. Pound scholarship, as long as it's objective, whets our need for more knowledge in the face of history's ignorance on this subject. Tom NJ
