Dear List

Wasn't Pound more concerned with his idea that "profiteering" created wars
and not with the "profiteering" resulting from wars?  His was much less a
moral idea than a cause/effect idea.  I think he would be less concerned
with the French/Germans/Canadians  not making a profit from no investment
than with the Russian/Chinese/North Korean seeming inability to control
profiteering in black market arms to terrorists.  The secular anarchist
flavor and the theocratic fervor of the Islamic/Palestinian/Semetic
terrorists would have had him foaming at the mouth on his web site.

Besides wouldn't the US Fed controlling interest rates at so low a level
have met with his grudging approval or at least his silence.
