Children, aren't we making too much of this? Like others, I had to delete
unread the 297k file from Mr. Stoneking (but was grateful for his
subsequent sending of a url for it) and can understand DP's momentary
anguish. It's basic e-mail practice not to send files this size
unsolicited, or to whole lists. But it's also easy to delete big unuseable
files - so no real trouble there. I also deleted the message from our
local mailman tut-tutting about the size of my inbox.
 
Now I'm going to keep that url for future reference, and delete the *ten*
other messages spawned by this subject (eleven including this one), none
of them significantly to do with the subject of this list, and sit back
and wait for something more Poundian...
