Gerhardt translated one of Bunting's poems (the one for Helen Egli) in the
first issue of fragmente (1951) - there weren't too many people noticing
BB at that time. I don't know if the two ever wrote to each other, but in
1964 Anselm Hollo copied the fragmente translation for Bunting - who
obviously thought highly enough of it to keep it amongst the small batch
of papers he didn't burn.
