Dear Poundistes,
                           (please pardon this personal intrusion...)
 
     Prof. Peter Makin is visiting the USA for a few weeks, research
libraries etc., as part of his sabbatical.
 
     If you come across him, please ask him to phone or email me
soonest...this is important for his visiting plans, not an emergency!
