I do not suggest that any sensibility is finer or more astute than another.  I would not presume to do so.  But sensibilities differ.  I don't get, or am not attracted to, much work that is admired by those I admire.  We are all not so broad as we'd like to be.
The spell-check tip was not meant to be dismissive, rather as a way to render your post more persuasive.
For what it's worth, I'm not an academic.
