In the aftermath of the resignation of Tim Whitehead, Ron Hainsey, the
talented sophomore defensemen, signed a contract with the Montreal Canadiens.
Does this signal the beginning of the end of UML hockey? There have been
rumors lately that the suits at UMass are in favor of combining the two
hockey programs so as to end competition for recruits and put a better
product on the ice.
