I can't say that I'm so much concerned about the hosts themselves, but
curious as to why a city like Denver, who reportedly submitted a bid,
didn't even make the short list. If this is because the schools out here
couldn't throw enough money up front at the NC$$, then yes, I'm concerned.

Brand new arena, hundreds (literally) of restaurants and bars within a 15
minute walk, tons of lodging, tons of parking... not to mention, DU, CC and
Air Force, and one of the most popular NHL franchises.

Oh yes, then there's the whole historical bit, what with so many of the
early championships held at the Broadmoor in the Springs.

Seriously -- how BAD did Denver's bid have to be, and how GOOD was KC's bid?
