Some random thoughts after tonight's game:

Ditto to Wayne's "unbelievable". It really was one of the most amazing
hockey games I've been to in a long time (probably since Anaheim). From
sheer ecstacy to severe agony back to ecstacy all in about 33 seconds.

Yeats must have painted more than a few white horseshoes on his mask
tonight. You could tell from the outset that he was on his game tonight.
There was one shot in the second period that came with millimeters (I can't
think of a smaller unit of measurement than this one) of going over the
goal line, but somehow he stopped it.

The Fleece Center was rocking tonight - the Maine contingent was extremely
vocal (including yourself who now has no voice!!!). It probably was the
loudest I've heard it there since the Frozen Four in 1998.

Boo hiss to the scoreboard operator who didn't put Maine's second goal up
until the game was almost over.

Thanks to the folks at Friends of Maine hockey who planned the pre-game
rally and to the pep band who provided the entertainment (you sounded
great).

Special thanks to the four BU fans who sat in the third or fourth row of
Section 320. Even after losing to us on Friday, they were there tonight
cheering on the Black Bears. I keep forgetting that they hate BC worse
than they hate us.

They played like champions this weekend, and if they continue this way,
they won't have to take down the sign that greets me on the Maine Turnpike
-- they'll just have to change the year.
