This is the worst of all the biographies... it is poorly researched and unimaginative. The prose os stolid and at times high-handed. Re: the research, in the book he makes the claim that the Wandjina are African rain gods... they are in fact Australian, from the Kimberly region of north Western Australian. This is only one of many glaring errors that leapt off the page at me while I was researching my play about Pound.
