Like John, I too have seen few CCHA teams and games this year. I'm a Miami season ticket holder so I'll have a few comments on their play this year. It also seems that the volume of discussions this year concerning the CCHA have been dismally low, and I accept part of the blame for not being a contributor. Thanks to the few who have posted Miami scores and summaries and others for CCHA posts. I wish I had the time to put together something on Miami like Jeff Weiss's BGSU Hockey Weekly Release. After observing a few Miami games this season I resigned myself to be glad to see college hockey games and the variety of teams that Miami drew into Goggin Arena. The disappointment of their season was summarized for me last weekend when Miami gave up two shorthanded goals on the same power play. You could see the feeling of utter helplessness on the players faces. Miami had a young team this year and I expect them to grow stronger and better in the next couple of years. If they don't, it will confirm my suspicions and I'll hope that there will be changes at the top. There were a couple of bright spots for Miami this year. One, if I'm correct, was that Jason Deskins finished the regular season as the league's top scorer. The fact that he's a sophomore makes it more impressive. Good luck to him and his returning teammates next year. John's post illustrated the wealth of young talent in the CCHA this year. There is a lot of great hockey to come from the CCHA and I look forward to watching them in the tournament and next season. //////////////////\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ michael bohler [log in to unmask] \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\////////////////// HOCKEY-L is for discussion of college ice hockey; send information to [log in to unmask], The College Hockey Information List.
