recent notes on Pound biographies remind me of Mr. C. David Heymann and his scandals -- I had thought the disputes surrounding his Pound biography might have slowed his career a bit and then I thought that later legal and critical disputes about his celebrity biographies would have put a halt to him all together -- Yet . . . showing that there are second and third acts in American life, I see him routinely trotted out on TV talk shows as an expert on damned near everybody -- though his hosts are generally much more concerned with his thoughts on Jackie O. than with vorticism --
