It leads me to believe that one or both of the following may be true.
 
1.  General purpose promotional orgs have bought huge blocs of tickets, and
will offer them as a blind sweetener for no money down real estate seminars
and casting couch consolation prizes.  And I know which group I'll be
sitting with.
 
2.  A couple of hundred seats have been sold, the NCAA and the local venue
are getting impatient and nervous they've made fools of themselves, and
"call before midnight tonight!, they're going fast!" might get a brief
bounce in the orders.
